Kate began her career in psychology in the public mental health system in both Ballarat and Queensland.  During this time she worked in both triage and as a Community Mental Health Clinician.  She worked with clients presenting with Major Mental Illness, high risk factors and Personality Disorders, with comorbid drug and alcohol issues and intellectual disabilities.

As a private practitioner, Kate has provided psychological treatment for issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, grief and loss, parenting concerns, road and work accidents and victims of crime.

Kate uses and eclectic range of evidence-based, person-centred treatments, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy and Mindfulness based techniques.  In recent years, Kate has been increasing her work with trauma, including with first responders, with the addition of Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) to her practice.
